We’ve had our fair share of adventures over the years, but our three weeks in Portugal might’ve been the most beautiful—and the most challenging—yet. The trip began far out in the Atlantic on the Azores Islands, hopping between Terceira, Flores, Corvo, and São Miguel. We rented a castle with friends, explored volcanoes, and soaked up island life before heading to the mainland for a whirlwind of Lisbon, Sintra’s fairytale palaces, and the charm of Porto. Then came the part we were craving most—getting back behind the wheel. We picked up a camper van, pointed it toward the coast, and hit the road ready for adventure… but Portugal had some lessons waiting for us.

Van life overseas brought plenty of humbling moments—fueling confusion (gasolina vs. gasóleo!), nights in crowded campgrounds or grocery store parking lots, rock-hard beds, and a whole lot of decision fatigue. But it also brought pure magic: camping on seaside cliffs, cruising into the Benagil sea cave, and even renewing our vows on the beach—13 years of marriage, miles, and memories later. It wasn’t the easiest trip, but it was one of the most meaningful. Because the truth is, the hardest journeys often end up being the ones you remember most.

We had just traded mountain views in Switzerland for rows and rows of shiny new RVs — and y’all, the Hershey RV Show did not disappoint!

Over 1,500 RVs all in one place, and we spent days walking miles (literally) to find the most jaw-dropping, creative, and practical rigs for real-life RV living. From cozy travel trailers to luxury fifth wheels and adventure vans, these 2026 models are full of surprises.

We started, of course, with the Grand Design 414 LJMJ — the production model based on our own prototype layout. Seeing it finally hit the market after years of design and testing was surreal! The feedback and ideas y’all shared helped shape what this rig became, and it’s officially ready for the world to see.

But that was just the beginning. Across the show, we found:

  • A toy hauler with TWO decks.

  • An outdoor kitchen that would make any tailgate jealous.

  • A Storyteller Overland van that seats and sleeps five (families, this one’s a dream).

  • Winnebago’s new Thrive line, where travel trailers meet Restoration Hardware.

  • A gas-powered Super C that tows like a diesel but saves you thousands.

  • And a Brinkley fifth wheel hiding a secret office.

Everywhere we turned, there was something new — smarter storage, better layouts, brighter interiors, and more ways to actually live comfortably on the road.

We pulled together our Top 11 favorite 2026 RVs in this week’s video so you can see exactly what stood out (and which ones made us say “wait… WHAT?!”).

What’s your dream RV feature? Drop it below — we might’ve just seen it at Hershey!

The Bay of Fundy has been on our journey list for years, and it was every bit as wild as we imagined. This place is home to the world’s largest tides, rising and falling more than 50 feet in just six hours—and we weren’t about to just watch it from shore.

First up: mudslides. We slipped, slid, and laughed until we were unrecognizable, covered head-to-toe in Bay of Fundy mud. Then it was time for the main event—rafting the tidal bores during an “extreme wave” window. Picture billions of gallons of water rushing in as the river transforms into a rollercoaster, tossing our boat and filling it with water as fast as we could bail.

The adventure didn’t end there. We walked on the ocean floor at Hopewell Rocks, explored sandstone caves, and took in views that changed before our eyes as the tides shifted. Add bald eagles flying overhead and coastal towns full of charm, and it’s no wonder folks call this one of the weirdest places on earth.
