We’re back to our East Coast Canada series, and this stop took us across the legendary Confederation Bridge into Prince Edward Island. 🌊

From quirky Bottle Houses built with thousands of recycled bottles, to the inspiration behind Anne of Green Gables, to camping at a drive-in theater (yes, with popcorn and mosquitoes!), PEI was full of surprises.

And of course, we ended the trip the right way—with a traditional lobster supper, nutcrackers in hand and plenty of laughs as we tried to figure it all out. 🦞

RVing Canada’s Most Stunning Drive – Cape Breton’s Cabot Trail

I've had the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia on our Journey List for years—and y’all, it did not disappoint. This 185-mile loop winds through jaw-dropping coastlines, rolling mountains, and Cape Breton Highlands National Park. We even scored a $20 first-come, first-served oceanfront campsite where we could literally watch the sunset from our bed in the van.

The original plan was to tackle the famous Skyline Trail hike, but once we saw that view from our site… the hike didn’t stand a chance. We poured our energy into soaking in the moment—doors open, waves crashing, and a sunset worth skipping the trail for. It was one of those reminders that sometimes, the best part of the journey is already right in front of you.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Nathan-and-Marissa trip without food stops. We tried Tim Hortons for the first time (solid coffee!) and bit into a local donair that had us wondering why we’d waited so long. We even managed to squeeze in a cinnamon roll taste test—because, well, priorities.

This wasn’t just about checking a scenic drive off our list—it was about slowing down, savoring the view, and saying yes to the moments that make the road feel like home.
