We’re officially in Canada, y’all—and how we got there was half the adventure! This week, we take our RV in reverse onto a high-speed ferry from Maine to Nova Scotia (and yes, we included some classic clips of my finest backup fails too). Nathan did the ferry parking, but I owned my backing “track record,” bless it. From there, it was all about charming towns, emotional memorials, and jaw-dropping views.

We met some incredibly kind Canadians, shared a campsite with a stranger (by surprise), visited a haunted fort (maybe), and took a moment at the Titanic cemetery that really put this whole journey in perspective.

Also—shower update: after four days, we finally got one, and it was glorious.

If you've ever considered traveling to Nova Scotia or want to know what it's like to ferry with your home-on-wheels, this one’s for you.

We took on Acadia National Park in peak season—with no reservations, a 20-foot off-grid RV, and a whole lotta hope. Spoiler: it wasn’t easy, but it was so worth it. From scoring a last-minute site at Blackwoods Campground, to chasing sunsets on Cadillac Mountain, to dodging the crowds and tiny parking lots—it was an unforgettable 24 hours.

Also, let’s be real—we hadn’t showered in four days. And while the views were epic, the van a dream, and the tacos + coffee (my dream combo!) absolute perfection... there were a few things we really missed. Last week in our newsletter, we shared the items we miss the most when we travel light—and y’all, our RV mattress was at the top of the list, followed closely by our beloved coffee maker. We’ve been sleeping on the Signature Hybrid from RV Mattress by Brooklyn Bedding for over a year now, and it’s changed the game. Free shipping, 120-night trial, and 30% off when you use our link: https://rvmattress.com/ljmj (code LJMJ).

Come see how we made the most of Acadia—with no plan, no showers, and no regrets. And next up? We’re ferrying this little van into Nova Scotia. Let’s go!

We spent two weeks traveling thousands of miles—just the two of us—in the all-new Grand Design Lineage VT: an off-grid, all-electric, adventure-ready RV van.

And y’all… this 100 sq ft rig packs a serious punch! In this video, we walk you through every inch of this innovative space while actually living in it. From a countertop that transforms into a hidden cooktop, to a modular shower that becomes a bathroom or changing room, to a bed setup that just makes sense—this van totally redefines small space RV living.

We’ll share how the solar + lithium kept us powered off-grid the whole time, why the cassette toilet surprised us in the best way, and how this layout gave us four distinct living spaces… in a van! It was cozy, functional, and full of clever surprises.

If you're curious what vanlife could look like for you—or just want a peek at what RV innovation looks like for 2026—this is one tour you don’t want to miss.
