Thanks to the great tips from Patrons, we venture off the beaten path in Acadia National Park to explore the scenic Schoodic Peninsula before making our way to the Mount Desert Island area with our RV.

A CHANGE OF PLANS // THREE STATES IN THREE DAYS

We had hoped to see the Lake Placid Olympic sites, but that didn’t work out. So we make our way to Whiteface Mountain for a hike. Then we visit an ice cream flavor graveyard in Vermont and take the Cog to the top of Mt. Washington.

We brave car show traffic for Watkins Glen’s Gorge Trail, one of the most spectacular hikes we’ve ever taken. Afterward, we continue to the northeast and our first stay ever with Harvest Hosts.
