“Don’t miss Mackinac Island!” These are words we hear every time we mention going on a Michigan route. So, we grab our bikes and hop on the ferry to explore the island and eat our weight in fudge.

In last week’s episode, we had some trouble squeezing into a tight campsite. While that park wasn’t actually the worst, this campground in Mackinaw City IS near the top of our favorites list. There is so much to do that we hardly have to leave the RV park at all. When we do, we hunt for Petosky stones, eat pastries (of course), and check out one of Michigan’s famous lighthouses.

We sure do miss our nimble Airstream as we squeeze into this campsite! Once settled, we have a great time exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
