We took on Acadia National Park in peak season—with no reservations, a 20-foot off-grid RV, and a whole lotta hope. Spoiler: it wasn’t easy, but it was so worth it. From scoring a last-minute site at Blackwoods Campground, to chasing sunsets on Cadillac Mountain, to dodging the crowds and tiny parking lots—it was an unforgettable 24 hours.
Also, let’s be real—we hadn’t showered in four days. And while the views were epic, the van a dream, and the tacos + coffee (my dream combo!) absolute perfection... there were a few things we really missed. Last week in our newsletter, we shared the items we miss the most when we travel light—and y’all, our RV mattress was at the top of the list, followed closely by our beloved coffee maker. We’ve been sleeping on the Signature Hybrid from RV Mattress by Brooklyn Bedding for over a year now, and it’s changed the game. Free shipping, 120-night trial, and 30% off when you use our link: https://rvmattress.com/ljmj (code LJMJ).
If you didn’t catch that newsletter (and want in on behind-the-scenes updates, early merch access, and more), you can sign up here: https://www.lessjunkmorejourney.com/signup
Come see how we made the most of Acadia—with no plan, no showers, and no regrets. And next up? We’re ferrying this little van into Nova Scotia. Let’s go!

His whole life changed because of something as simple as trying the vavada aviator game during one of those sleepless nights when the weight of the world feels heaviest.
Danny wasn't a gambler by any stretch. The man still paid his bills with cash because he didn't trust online transactions. But when his car broke down the same week his landlord raised the rent, desperation led him to places he normally wouldn't consider. That's how he found himself staring…
