This week, we’re camping at two Florida spots that couldn’t be more different—one of the nicest RV resorts we’ve stayed at in 10 years, and a Harvest Host that’s been on my bucket list forever: a drive-in movie theater!

The Splash RV Resort wowed us with water slides and family fun, while the Ocala drive-in gave us one of the most unique RV memories ever—watching a movie from our side deck with homemade snacks and small-town charm all around. We might’ve even snagged a pizza and a shrimp po’boy from the concession stand, because how can you not?

he first fully loaded haul with our new RV is in the books—and whew, y’all, it was a doozy! Between the extra length of the truck and the weight of the rig, this combo tows way different than anything we’ve hauled before. We learned a lot on this run, from navigating tight turns, to backing in with a triple axle, to what moves inside when you think it won’t (cue the floor scuffs). But we also got to stretch out the new side deck, test our systems, and settle into Florida life at one of the most family-friendly resorts we’ve ever visited.

And if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like adjusting to a bigger RV and a longer truck… this video’s got it all. Thanks for coming along as we learn (and laugh) our way through it!

This week, we’re finally moving into our brand new 414LJMJ prototype—and let me just say, it’s a whole process. We’re downsizing, organizing, and hauling bins through the woods to get everything moved over from the 378 (because yes, we parked the new one in the farthest spot on the property). Nathan’s living his best minimalist life, I’m negotiating space for my Dutch ovens, and the kids are already making the new bunk room their own. We’re applying our “80% Rule” and trying to keep the clutter low and the journey high, but some areas—like the kitchen and bathroom—are testing our patience and our storage skills. If you’ve ever wondered what real RV moving day looks like, this is it.

Also—big news! We’re officially selling our beloved LJMJ truck! This 2015 Ram Megacab has carried us coast-to-coast and is built for towing. It’s got over $7,000 in upgrades and includes a 5th wheel slider hitch and extended 41-gallon fuel tank. If you’re on the hunt for a truck that’s road-proven and ready to roll, check out the listing here: 2015 Ram Laramie 4x4 Megacab for Sale: $34,900
